With a background in health, education and performance Line Hilton’s mission is to raise industry standards for vocal, mental and physical health and wellbeing in singers. She takes a very holistic approach to working with performers, and believes it all starts with the mindset.

A bit of a jack-of-all-trades, Line draws on a diverse pool of training, qualifications, experiences and skills to help performers achieve their singing, career and life goals.

As well as working with professional singers, signed artists and professional voice users, Line helps singers become singing teachers through BAST Training and publishes iSingmag an online resource for singers.

MENTIONS:

SINGING LESSONS:

  1. It’s a really good thing just for any singer to be listening to themselves objectively not subjectively.
  2. You should understand that you’ll get way more no’s than you’ll get yes’s. If you’re not able to cope with that you’ll need to find another job or you need to do the mindset work that will help you cope.
  3. You can’t do it by yourself. Surround yourself with people who get you, who are supportive, who support what you have to say as an artist, and who can help you develop as well.
  4. Find a good ENT. Understand that it’s not a case of if you have a voice problem, but, if you have a career, it will be when.
  5. Understand that you can change. Things don’t have to be the same forever. Whether it’s your voice… your performance… your habits… your genre- it can change and it probably will and that’s okay.
  6. Allow yourself to grow and evolve and develop.
  7. Be adaptable. Understand that generally as a singer you’re not going to just be the one thing. It’s one of those jobs where generally you ought to have more than one skill in order to survive, and that’s okay.
