SINGING LESSONS:
- Voiceover definitely requires training. It’s an art and it’s acting.
- Training is the first thing to get you a great reel.
- Representation doesn’t care about where you have been, it’s where you will go.
- Train with someone who is absolutely reputable. There are so many acting coaches and voice over coaches, so you need to get a good one. You do that by asking around and talking to people that are really working.
- Your demo reel should sound very professional and sound like it could be a commercial. Listen to other pro voice actor’s reels.
- Agents are really the keys to the big jobs.
- Celebrities are infusing the market… but it doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for you. You’ve got to put in the effort, training, and investment.
- You need a home studio that’s going to be competitive in quality.
