Los Angeles based vocal coach William Hanrahan was my coach on when I was a student majoring in voice at UC Riverside. He was also on the voice faculty at Mt. St. Mary’s College, Los Angeles. A keynote speaker for the International Governors Conference of Toastmasters and a guest presenter at the First International Conference on Music in Human Adaptation, he maintains a private voice studio in Los Angeles.

His work includes corrective vocal training, techniques for refining public speaking and presentation skills, communication skills training, and the private voice instruction of professional singers and actors. He developed Vocal Integration™ which provides a unique exploration of the psychology of communication, sound and language.

MENTIONS:

SINGING LESSONS:

  1. Develop a regular practice regimen that includes both vocal technique and performance technique.
  2. Get yourself in front of a regular group of people to perform, even if it’s karaoke.
  3. The voice is a muscle. It needs to be treated as a muscle in terms of strengthening, so tire it out and rest it and then tire it out and rest it, and you should through that develop more endurance and stronger actual sound. Don’t overdo it.

Thanks for listening!
